Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I was born and raised in Denver, and lived in the metro area most of my life, except when I moved to England as a teenager. While there, I studied art, history, and literature all over Europe, graduating with my Bachelor’s in Humanities before returning to Colorado. Since then, I’ve been working in administrative roles at various companies, from small local non-profits to large international corporations, and pursuing creative endeavors in my free time.

What is your new position and what do you hope to accomplish in it?

I am the Administrative Manager, which means I support VNL in all aspects of administrative and office needs, including HR and accounting. This is a fairly new position, so I’m excited to put my experience to the test as I discover all the ways to keep VNL running like a well-oiled machine! My ultimate hope is that my coworkers will be able to focus on their specific talents and skills they bring to the company in their respective roles, and not worry about the routine tasks required to operate a business.

Who is a significant mentor in your life?

While I have been fortunate to have many people in my life who have guided me to where I am today, my most significant mentor would have to be my grandmother. She has always been my number one cheerleader and a thoughtful counselor, encouraging me to explore new adventures, have confidence in my plans, and be bold in my dreams.

Where is your favorite place to visit on vacation?

Lourve, ParisOne of my goals since childhood is to walk on all seven continents, so while I haven’t been yet, I’d love to visit Antarctica! But overall my favorite place to visit is Paris, since that’s where I seem to travel the most if given the option. I love walking around the city, visiting all the museums, and eating tons of delicious food!

If you could have any superpower, what would it be, and why?

Communicating with animals. I’m the type of person who is probably more excited to meet your dog than to meet you (sorry!). I also have four turtles, and while they’ve been part of the family long enough that I can tell what they need, I’d love to be able to explain to them why they can’t have two breakfasts every day (and I’m sure they’d like to explain to me why they can!).

What do you enjoy doing away from work?

I’m a huge fan of Korean television and music, so if I’m not traveling somewhere for a K-Pop concert, I’m probably watching a drama or variety show. I’ve also recently discovered that I’m a pretty decent cook, so I like trying out new recipes while pretending that I’m on a cooking competition show.
