As a Customer Success Manager for VNL, Alena serves as the voice of the customer, and a bridge between the tangible and technical worlds with and within VNL. Learn more about Alena below!

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I am a passionate public health advocate who truly believes access to quality health should be a right not a privilege. I believe health is holistic in that extends going to the doctors when you are sick but includes fitness, nutrition, sleep, stress management & so much more. I am a certified personal trainer currently enrolled in a nutrition course. I believe knowledge is power. Good health empowers people and that is what I aim to do for myself and those around me. 

What is your new position and what do you hope to accomplish in it?

My new position is not just new to me but to the company as well! I am a Customer Success Manager and plan to make a positive impact through my position as bridge between the technical and tangible worlds for both the company and the clients.

Who is a significant mentor in your life?

A significant mentor in my life would have to be my mother. As a single Latina parent, she has consistently demonstrated what a woman is capable of. I admire her drive, dedication and commitment to not only succeed in taking care of my younger sister and I but reinforcing how we as humans have a responsibility to leave this world better than how we came into it. The power of a woman goes often overlooked and I aspire to be the strong leader, advocate, thoughtful, sincere and respectable woman that she is.

Where is your favorite place to visit on vacation?

My favorite place to visit on vacation would have to be Puerto Rico! I have been waiting for the opportunity to come back for a few months to explore more of the island at this age and be present with my family. Even though life is much harder on the island with limited access to certain things or lines that go around the corners, there is a certain magic in the island, the beaches and the people. 

If you could have any superpower, what would it be, and why?

My superpower would definitely be to shapeshift. How cool would it be to be able to quite literally do anything?! Fly, breathe underwater, turn into a car – the opportunities are endless!

What do you enjoy doing away from work?

Away from work, I enjoy going on a good adventure whether that’s to a new restaurant, beach or a concert (back when they were a thing). Listening to music is one of my most favorite activities and I have been recently getting into podcasts. I also enjoy getting out into nature by going on a hike – but I feel I should clarify for my Colorado folks that I mean 2-3 miles not climbing mountain peaks!
