We’re pleased to announce the hire of the newest edition to VNL, and to our Tech Team, Full Stack Software Developer Vlad Solokha!
Vlad will be focused on making our PARTNER platforms as easy to use and intuitive as possible, while continuously pushing further innovation.
Vlad and some of his delightful little ones stopped by our retreat last month, and we had a ball! Read on for more about him.
Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I’m from Belarus originally. I moved to Columbus, Ohio in 1998. Then I moved to Sarasota, FL in 2012 and got married to my beautiful wife, Tanya. We decided to move to Denver because we fell in love with the weather here and the outdoor vibe. The beer is great too! I taught myself software development as I was teaching computer science full-time. After gaining a few clients to build projects for, VNL found me!
What is your new position and what do you hope to accomplish in it?
I am now a full-stack software developer and I hope to work on this amazing team to develop the best, most innovative, and user friendly applications for our users. I hope to solve complex problems and write code to maintain a clean and reliable code base for our products.
Who is a significant mentor in your life?
My wife is a significant mentor who’s pushed me to be my best self at home, with family and friends, and at work. She inspires me to learn new things, and challenge myself.
Where is your favorite place to visit on vacation?
A warm, cozy, and toasty cabin in the cold snowy mountains of Colorado, or under a shaded umbrella in the hot and moist weather of the beautiful Florida beaches!
If you could have any superpower, what would it be, and why?
I would have the ability to travel quickly through space and still be able to breathe. I would be an outer space explorer, visiting new worlds and discovering new life!
What do you enjoy doing away from work?
I enjoy spending time with family and my children, traveling, watching movies, learning about programming, tinkering with hardware, hiking, and/or fishing!
