Please help us welcome a new addition to our growing team, Steve Stremsterfer!

Steve is VNL’s UX/UI Design Manager, and in his new role he is apart of our Product Team. He and the team are responsible for how VNL’s PARTNER CPRM and PARTNERme products are experienced by our users. Learn more about Steve below!

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I have an extensive history as a visual designer and I ran my own graphic design firm before being hired by VNL! I grew up in New Mexico but I feel like I should have been born and raised in Colorado. That said, I am on a constant search for amazing green chile (yes, with an “e”), salsas, and hot sauces.

What is your new position and what do you hope to accomplish in it?

As a member of the product team, I contribute to the look, feel, and experience of VNL core products and services. I strive to create usable, useful, and delightful experiences for all of VNL’s clients and their communities. I am passionate about growing the PARTNER platform and I love knowing our work is truly helping people across the country.

Who is a significant mentor in your life?

My Aunt Joanne. She was a high school art teacher and a fine artist in her free time. Any time she came to visit she would always take my family to Santa Fe, or to Native American ruin sites, or encouraged me to sketch with her. She is still an amazing artist who explores all mediums and is currently enjoying print-making and batik scarves.

Where is your favorite place to visit on vacation?

I would have to say Steamboat Springs, Colorado: Gorgeous scenery, friendly people, fun atmosphere, and tons of outdoor activities.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be, and why?

I’ll go with invisibility, but not to sneak around. Basically to get in and out of stores as fast as possible. (Haha.)

What do you enjoy doing away from work?

I enjoy hanging out with my kids, mountain biking, camping, discovering new breweries, watching birds, listening to music.
