Strengthening Collaboration with the Mass in Motion Community Health Program

January 2018 – October 2021 // Massachusetts Project // PARTNER CPRM Project

Mass in Motion is a statewide movement that promotes opportunities for healthy eating and active living in the places people live, learn, work and play.

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s Mass in Motion Municipal Wellness and Leadership Initiative is a movement to lower the risk of chronic disease by supporting equitable food access and active living opportunities in cities and towns throughout Massachusetts. Currently, there are 27 Mass in Motion grantees across the state, reaching over 70 communities. Within these communities, Mass in Motion grantees work together with a diverse network of multi-sector partners to implement proven policies and practices that create environments supporting healthy living for all residents.

In 2020, the Massachusetts Department of Public Health began partnering with Visible Network Labs to help evaluate each of the 27 grantee partnership networks using PARTNER, our platform for social network analysis.
