Meet our New Marketing Intern Will Jacobson!
We are very excited to welcome Will Jacobson to the team at Visible Network Labs as a Marketing Intern. We asked him a few questions to get to know him better in this week’s Visible Us blog article. If you see Will at any upcoming meetings or events be sure to say hello and welcome him to the VNL community. Enjoy!
Can you tell us a little about yourself?
I am originally from Brooklyn, New York, now I reside in the beautiful city of Denver, Colorado. I moved to Denver to finish my degree as I am a returning student, currently a senior marketing major at the University of Colorado Denver. (Go Lynx!) I come from a creative family; my father is a writer and author, my mother is an editor. They both attended Woodstock separately in 1969 and didn’t meet until years later. I have two older sisters, the eldest writes about learning disabilities and education, and my middle sister helps run a non-profit in Philadelphia. I’m very proud of them!
What is your new position and what do you hope to accomplish in it?
My new position is Marketing Intern, and I couldn’t be happier to join the amazing team at VNL! I hope to assist in building upon the existing communications and marketing efforts already in place and to help grow VNL’s network of partners. I am excited to learn and grow here!
Who is a significant mentor in your life?
My Mom is the most significant mentor in my life. She is always quick to smile, say hello, and make all feel welcome in her presence. She is a mother, grandmother, activist, neighbor, friend, and caregiver. She truly cares about this world and the human beings in it.
Where is your favorite place to visit on vacation?
In 2017, I was fortunate enough to take a trip to Havana, Cuba. It is a beautiful place with so much history and wonderful people. I love the ocean, and one walk along the Malecón at sunset made me want to stay forever.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be, and why?
I would have to say the ability to teleport. First, so I could teleport back to New York for bagels, and to eat dinner with my niece and family more frequently. Second, to pull hilarious pranks on my friends.
What do you enjoy doing away from work?
I enjoy trying different dishes, made at home or from a new restaurant I haven’t tried yet. And of course, I love all things Colorado: Hiking, exploring, camping, going to shows at Red Rocks. I haven’t gotten around to skiing or snowboarding just yet, but I watch the X Games and live vicariously.
